Celebration of Transportation in the Triangle
There is a one-hour webinar later this month to celebrate transportation throughout the Triangle. The program seems a bit tongue in cheek but the more we can elevate sustainable transportation and the more “in the conversation” we will be. Personally, I feel like a happy hour to bring together sustainable transportation leaders and advocates in person are really needed to keep the fire stoked and to learn from each other. Perhaps we could host something in RTP?
Information from Go Triangle:

The 2022 Golden Modes program will focus on economic equity and transportation. Golden Modes will offer unique perspectives on sustainable transportation, travel options in the Triangle, and economic equity, featuring elected officials, community leaders, and area commuters. The connections between transportation options and economic mobility affect our communities more than some realize.
• A welcome from Governor Roy Cooper, reviewing how sustainable transportation requires more than electric vehicles;
• Keynote Speaker Julie White, Deputy Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Innovative Mobility Division, shares how the availability of transportation choices impacts the financial sustainability of the area’s poorest households as well as attracting and retaining major employers in the Triangle;
• Raleigh City Council Member Jonathan Melton discusses how future transportation plans are required to increase equity in our communities;
• Commuters and GoTriangle staff highlighted existing travel options resulting in the dramatic reduction of greenhouse gases by employees across the Triangle.
